Breen excited ahead of resumption of IRC bid in Corsica
"Now I’m concentrating on Corsica"
Craig Breen says he can’t wait for Tour de Corse, round four of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, to get underway on 9 May.
The Irishman was speaking following his run to fifth overall on the Donnelly Group Circuit of Ireland Rally earlier this month in a Saintéloc Racing-Mister Auto Peugeot 207 Super 2000. It was Breen’s first of four planned IRC appearances with the French squad alongside co-driver Gareth Roberts.
“It was a good event and we’ve made a lot of progress with the car, with our driving and with the team,” said Breen. “Despite our [fuel pump] problem on Friday evening, we’ve shown what we’re capable of. Now I’m concentrating on Corsica and can’t wait to get out there.”
Breen finished one position behind Saintéloc team-mate Mathieu Arzeno, who was also competing in an uprated 207 S2000. Both drivers are set to undertake a test before Tour de Corse.
