Polestar Cyan Racing’s Thed Björk won’t let his lack of circuit knowledge hold him back in this season’s FIA World Touring Car Championship.
The reigning Swedish Touring Car champion has knowledge of just three of the 12 venues that form the 2016 WTCC calendar.
“I know Hungaroring, I know Shanghai and I know the Nürburgring inside out,” said Björk. “The other ones I should be able to learn quite quickly because I am a quick learner, it’s one of my strengths I hope.”
Björk will begin learning at Circuit Paul Ricard from 1-3 April when he drives one of two Volvo S60 Polestar TC1s alongside team-mate and fellow Swede Fredrik Ekblom.
