Badaraco joins for Asian rounds
One of the fastest touring car drivers from his region
Jerónimo António Badaraco will compete in the latest three rounds of the WTCC at Suzuka, Shanghai and Macau.
On his first appearance in the World Championship the 39-old from Macau will be at the wheel of a 2-litre normally aspirated Chevrolet Cruze LT car run by the Son Veng Racing Team.
In recent years Badaraco has emerged as one of the fastest touring car drivers from his region; he scored race wins in the Macau Touring Car Championship and in 2010 was crowned champion for the N2000 class.
He has also claimed several good results in the Macau Grand Prix support races, such as a victory in the ACP Cup and podium finishes in the Macau Cup, Interport Race and Road Sport Challenge.
After many races in Honda Integra cars, he now faces the switch to the S2000 Chevrolet.
