BMW hope to improve home record
After have already won nine of the ten WTCC races
The BMW Team RBM look forward to this weekend’s event in Oschersleben with a lot of confidence coming from nine victories out of the ten WTCC races held so far at the Motorsport Arena.
Team principal Bart Mampaey said: “In Brno Andy was able to reduce the gap in the Drivers’ Championship to 16 points. We obviously want to continue this positive trend. Oschersleben has always been a successful stomping ground for BMW, but it will be important to get good starts in both races. A lot can happen in the first corner and for this reason it is very important to keep away from chaos.”
Andy Priaulx echoed: “Last year proved to be superb for BMW. I would have no problems if Augusto Farfus and I were again sharing victories. I like the circuit; it suits my style and the BMW car is particularly competitive here. Oschersleben kicks off the part of the season when the championship battle hots up, so I really hope we have every reason to celebrate here after both races.”
