2011 LMS final race will be at Estoril
The calendar is now fully confirmed
The official Le Mans Series 2011 calendar revealed last week is now confirmed! The final round will be held in Portugal, precisely on the Estoril circuit, still with a 6-Hour race, on 23, 24 and 25 September.
Built in 1972 close to Lisbon, this circuit welcomed F1 until 1997, and still hosts high level events. It will be the theatre of the final race of the 2011 Le Mans Series season, after four meetings. 4,182 km long and made up of thirteen bends including two hairpins and a 985 metres long straight line, this circuit is famous for having witnessed in 1995, Ayrton Senna’s first victory in a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
It will welcome Le Mans Series for the first time, and with Imola is the novelty of this calendar version 2011.
