Williams F1 Team confirm launch date

Williams F1 Team have announced the launch date of their 2012 challenger, the Williams-Renault FW34 this afternoon.

The Williams-Renault FW34 will be launched on the morning of February 7th 2012, in the Jerez de la Fontera circuit pit lane, before the first Winter Testing session commences.

The team also announced that the team will be “heading to Jerez” this weekend in preparation for the launch and first test, and that this has been a busy week for the Grove based outfit.

Both Williams F1 Drivers Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna will be present for the launch. This is the second year at Williams for Maldonado, who experienced a less than ideal first year with the team. It is also the second time the “Senna” name has been associated with the team.

Williams F1 are hoping a new, younger driver line-up with Formula 1 racing experience, coupled with a stronger car for 2012, will lead to a more successful year in 2012, looking to challenge the mid-field again.
