Zlin pace leaves Neuville optimistic (…)

Team Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg’s Thierry Neuville is convinced that he can replicate the pace he showed on the closing stages on Barum Czech Rally Zlin when he contests the Canon Mecsek Rallye in Hungary next week.

Neuville, the winner of Tour de Corse-E.Leclerc in May, struggled to make his usual impact on the opening day of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge round but produced several strong stage times on the second day of the asphalt event.

“It was good to finish the rally on a good pace, that was the most important thing”, said Neuville. “It gives a good feeling for the next rally. Of course it will be a new one but we have shown in the past on new rallies I am quite fast. I hope the car will be perfect as well and we can have a nice battle for a podium.”
