Following today’s Qualifying Session in Valencia, stewards have handed grid penalties to four drivers after it was found that they had impeded other competitors.
Esteban Gutierrez, Davide Valsecchi and Johnny Cecotto will each be dropped three places on tomorrow’s starting grid whilst Simon Trummer will be dropped two spots.
Gutiérrez and Valsecchi, who had respectively finished third and fourth in the session, will now start from fifth and sixth place, the Mexican ahead of the Italian. Trummer, who had set the seventeenth best laptime in the session, will start tomorrow’s feature race from eighteenth, just behind Cecotto.
