Tulio bids for IRC 2WD Cup glory in Azores
"It is the first time I have done this rally but I hope to get some points"
Brazilian Rafael Tulio is planning an IRC 2WD Cup title bid after entering next week’s Sata Rallye Açores.
Tulio, who claimed maximum IRC 2WD Cup points on Rally Argentina in March, will take part in an A6 class-specification Peugeot 206, which he has borrowed from Portuguese driver Carlos Oliveira’s CRN team.
Oliveira used Tulio’s own 206 on Rally Internacional de Curitiba in early March as part of the agreement between the pair.
“It is the first time I have done this rally but I hope to get some points,” said Tulio, who is also planning to contest Rali Vinho Madeira in August. “I would like to go to Madeira and, who knows, maybe one other.”
Tulio will be co-driven by fellow Brazilian Cesar Valandro. Oliveria will also be taking part on the gravel-based island event in another 206 alongside Jorge Carvalho.
