Toni Gardemeister once again enters Monte Carlo rally

Toni Gardemeister once again enters

Flying Finn Toni Gardemeister and his co-driver Tomi Tuominen enters traditional season opener, international Monte Carlo which is to be driven in third weekend of January. Gardemeister drives Peugeot 207 Super2000 rally car.

International Monte Carlo rally is an opening round for IRC rally series. Lots of famous rally drivers measures their speed against each others like Petter and Henning Solberg, Chris Atkinson, Per-Gunnar Andersson, Stephane Sarrazin, Freddy Loix and veteran Francois Delecour. Gardemeister and reigning IRC-rally series Champion Juho Hänninen are only Finns in season 2011 edition of the rally.

Gardemeister knows Monte Carlo like his own pockets. Season 2011 rally is his 12th entry for tricky snowy stages. "Monte Carlo Rally is one of my favorite rally and therefore I head for the event with good feeling and high hopes, tells Gardemeister who has been two times on podium."

In past two seasons Gardemeister has driven only selected rounds. This has also an effect for preparation. "I’ll have one day of testing before the event. Ofcourse It’s not enough when comparing the preparation which manufacturer teams have made but still I hope for podium finish, Gardemester continues."

Monte Carlo rally is to be driven at January 17th - 21st 2011.
