Harry Hunt’s team manager Iwan Evans believes the British driver can build on his recent run of form with a strong showing in the IRC 2WD Cup on Targa Florio-Rally Internazionale Di Sicilia.

Hunt, IRC 2WD Cup champion in 2010, finished third in class on his last IRC appearance in Corsica last month and also took third-place class honours on Rally 1000 Miglia, an Italian championship event based in Brescia.

“After Harry’s strong performance in Corsica, and also on the Mille Miglia a few weeks previously, we’re all hopeful of another good result this week,” said Evans. “We understand that the grip level can be quite variable in Sicily, and that the roads can be surprisingly slippery, so it will require quite a specific car set-up. We had a test on Monday to fine tune our set-up and we’re prepared for the start of the rally.”
