Felipe Nasr has been handed a five place grid penalty for tomorrow’s sprint race at Spa-Francorchamps after colliding with teammate Jolyon Palmer in this afternoon’s feature race at the fabled circuit.
The Brazilian, who had dived inside Marcus Ericsson at La Source earlier in the race, tried to repeat the move on Palmer at the restart after a safety car period on lap 5 but instead collided with his teammate, spinning the Englishman and putting himself out of the race as he did so.
Following the event, the race stewards spoke to the drivers and considered video evidence, and handed Nasr a five place drop tomorrow for his actions.
