Sohlberg not giving up on IRC debut

Kristian Sohlberg has not given up on his bid to make his debut in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge this season.

Sohlberg, from Finland, had been due to contest selected rounds of the IRC, but the loss of a key sponsor meant he had to cancel plans to compete on Rally San Marino and the Sibiu Rally in Romania last month. He had been due to drive an M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 for Petter Solberg Engineering on the gravel events.

“Rallying is my life and my love so it’s really frustrating not to be competing but I hope we can do something in the IRC on the Cyprus Rally [in November] and we are already starting to work on next year,” said Sohlberg.
