Pieter Tsjoen has proved he won’t give up his third place on the GEKO Ypres Rally without a fight by setting the second fastest time on Friday’s final stage, the repeat of the 18.84-kilometre Langemark stage.
The Peugeot 207 Super 2000 driver’s pace through the stage means he has edged 4.8s clear of Bryan Bouffier, who is fourth overall in his Peugeot France 207.
Out front, Freddy Loix continues to lead in his ŠKODA Motorsport Fabia Super 2000 after the BFO-backed driver claimed his sixth consecutive stage victory. His lead overnight is a commanding 36.7s over Peugeot UK’s Guy Wilks.
Crews are now returning to overnight service in Ypres.
