SS4: First stage win for Škoda’s Loix
Hanninen ends day one on top

Freddy Loix has rounded out the opening day of Rallye Monte-Carlo with his first stage win of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge season-opener.
The Belgian was 0.7s faster than defending IRC champion and Škoda Motorsport team-mate Juho Hänninen through the second run of the St Bonnet Le Froid stage.
As a result Hänninen’s overall lead has been trimmed slightly to 44.5s.
Petter Solberg, who was third fastest on the stage, has moved into third overall ahead of Peugeot France team-mate Stéphane Sarrazin.
French champion Bryan Bouffier has slipped out of the top six to seventh, one place ahead of former Rallye Monte-Carlo winner François Delecour.
