SS13: Consani clocks fastest time and moves up to second

Robert Consani has secured his third stage win in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge after setting the fastest time on Prime Yalta Rally’s penultimate stage.
Driving a Renault Mégane RS, Consani clocked a time of 16m46.3s whilst making his second pass over the 22.35-kilometre Sokolinoje 2 stage. The Frenchman’s speedy stage time now sees the driver move up to second overall, 22.8s ahead of László Vizin who has dropped to third.
Second quickest through SS13 was Marco Tempestini in a Subaru Impreza R4 STI, finishing just 3.6s behind the leading time of Consani. Tempestini holds second in the IRC Production Cup.
Third quickest through the rally’s closing asphalt stage was Yukhym Vazheyevskyy at the wheel of a Peugeot 207 S2000. Rally leader Yağiz Avci posted the fourth quickest time, closely followed by the ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000 of László Vizin.
Consani continues to lead both the IRC Production Cup and IRC 2WD Cup with only one asphalt test remaining, the 17.07-kilomete Uchan-Su 2 stage.
