SS12: Stage win leaves Al-Attiyah on the brink of glory

Nasser Al-Attiyah has made it two stage wins in succession on the Cyprus Rally by outpacing Andreas Mikkelsen through the repeat of the all-gravel Gialia test in his M-Sport Ford Fiesta RRC.
Al-Attiyah was 5.6s quicker than ŠKODA UK Motorsport driver Mikkelsen to move 2m49.7s clear with one stage left to run.
Sepp Wiegand was third fastest for ŠKODA Auto Deutschland on the 14.82-kilometre run with Andreas Aigner the quickest of the IRC Production Cup contenders next up in his Subaru Impreza R4 STI.
The final stage of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge event, the mixed-surface Stavros test, gets underway at 15:38hrs local time.
