Rallye de France Alsace has a new leader after Petter Solberg charged into first place on the world championship qualifier following his fastest time through Saturday’s second stage.

Solberg, in his self-run Citroen DS3 WRC, now heads erstwhile leader Dani Sordo’s MINI John Cooper Works WRC by 0.6s with Ogier 1.1s behind in third in his factory DS3.

Kris Meeke, in the second MINI, continues to hold an impressive fourth overall on his Rallye de France Alsace debut. Jari-Matti Latvala was again the fastest of the factory Ford drivers in his Fiesta RS WRC. The Finn is now 14.9s behind Meeke in fifth.
