Jari-Matti Latvala has trimmed Sebastien Loeb’s lead of Wales Rally GB to 8.6s by winning the repeat of the Gartheiniog stage in his Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

Latvala was one second quicker than 2003 world champion Petter Solberg through the 19.72-kilometre test. Sebastien Loeb was third fastest, 2.0s down on Latvala with Mads Ostberg fourth and Kris Meeke fifth.

Meeke is now 9.6s behind ninth-placed Dennis Kuipers as he continues to recover from the delays suffered this morning with an alternator glitch.
