SS10: First stage victory for Vouilloz

Nicolas Vouilloz has won his first stage of Rallye Monte-Carlo.

Driving a factory-prepared Škoda Fabia S2000, Vouilloz was 1.2s faster through the Moulinet-La Bollene Vesubie stage – which was shown live on Eurosport – than Freddy Loix, who has moved into second place ahead of François Delecour.

Delecour said he “pushed to the maximum” but was still unable to prevent Bryan Bouffier from extending his overall lead to 48 seconds.

Stéphane Sarrazin has overtaken Guy Wilks for fourth in his Peugeot France 207.

Ex-Formula One driver Alex Caffi suffered a spin on the stage but maintains 12th in the overall standings.
