SS10: Cyprus stage win for Sandell

ŠKODA Sweden’s Patrik Sandell has claimed his first stage victory on the Cyprus Rally, triumphing on the penultimate test of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge qualifier by 0.2s ahead of event leader Andreas Mikkelsen.

Mikkelsen now leads IRC title rival Jan Kopecký by 1m27.3s with one stage of the mixed-surface event remaining.

Freddy Loix was more than 30s off the pace in his BFO-backed Fabia, possibly due to a problem with his car.

The final Anadiou test will be shown live on Eurosport, LTV and RTBF and gets underway at 16:10hrs local time.
