Jake Rosenzweig will stay with Carlin for a second year as he makes the move up to Formula Renault 3.5 for the 2010 season. The American racer competed with Carlin in last year’s Formula 3 Euro Series and will stay with the British squad for his first season in the F1 feeder series.

After just a single season’s experience in single seaters in 2008, Rosenzweig joined Carlin for the 2009 F3 Euro Series championship. Paired alongside Red Bull racer Brendon Hartley, Rosenzweig out qualified his more experienced team mate on occasions and took one podium finish at Zandvoort. Rosenzweig also competed in the invitation class of the British F3 round at Spa-Francorchamps, finishing fifth on his first race in the series.

Eager to learn and gain more race mileage, Rosenzweig has most recently raced in the third GP2 Asia round of the season in Bahrain.

Now taking the step up to Formula Renault 3.5, Rosenzweig joins already announced Carlin driver Mikhail Aleshin who has previous experience in the championship.

Speaking about the season ahead, Rosenzweig said, "I’m looking forward to working with Carlin again for a second season. There will be some faces I know on the World Series team and some new people as well. I hoping to learn a lot and develop quickly so we can challenge for some good results. I think we have a great package for the season ahead and of course it will help having an experienced team mate to learn from."

Carlin race director Trevor Carlin added, "I’m delighted that Jake is staying with us for another season. He’s developed a lot as a driver over the last 12 months and is getting better and better. He equalled his more experienced team mate last year in F3 Euro Series, so I’m expecting to see some good things from him this season. We’ve got a great team this year in Jake and Mikhail; it’s going to be a pleasure to have them both in the team."

Rosenzweig will join new team mate Mikhail Aleshin at the first official World Series test of the season at Barcelona from 4 - 5 March.
