Q&A: Bryan Bouffier

It’s great to see you in Cyprus Bryan, what brings you here?

“My holidays! No, I’m working with Nasser Al-Attiyah on the pacenotes and technical side and he said why don’t I come to the rally so here I am.”

So is Nasser your tip for victory here?

“It’s going to be between Nasser and Andreas Mikkelsen. This is my idea and I hope for Nasser it’s him who wins because I am working with him. He has good experience here and is a very good driver.”

How hard is it to be on a rally when you aren’t competing?

“It’s the worse place to be! No seriously I am happy with my season so I have a different target this weekend.”

And how has your season gone?

“Quite okay. In the French championship I have won three races, retired in two with a broken engine and gone off in one so it is even. I will do the final round of the French championship in the Peugeot 208 R2 so this will be good.”

Finally, what about next year, do you have any news on what you will be doing?

“It would be nice to do the European Rally Championship now there is a real sense. For sure it has been there for a long time but with Eurosport Events it will be a big experience.”
