Peugeot: one of the IRC’s best makes

Peugeot might have ended the 2012 Intercontinental Rally Challenge without claiming a victory but the firm’s record in the series is hugely impressive.

During the six-year history of the IRC, the French make won three outright drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles, three IRC 2WD Cup manufacturers’ awards and one IRC 2WD Cup drivers’ crown since the start of the IRC in 2007.

Peugeot also celebrated 23 event wins with its 207 Super 2000 model including two Rallye Monte-Carlo victories, four triumphs on Rallye Sanremo, a hat-trick of wins on the GEKO Ypres Rally and one Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse success.
