Hayden Paddon has admitted that he is still searching for funds to complete the FIA Super 2000 World Rally Championship season, despite landing a new backer for his home round of the series, Brother Rally New Zealand.

Paddon, the reigning Production Car world champion, has secured support from ENZED, New Zealand’s leading mobile hose repair service, for the Auckland-based event from 21-24 June.

However, he still needs more investment to tackle his remaining schedule of rallies in Finland, Great Britain, France and Spain.

“It is great having ENZED on board for Rally New Zealand who are helping us make the event possible,” said the 25-year-old. “But we still have a lot of work and budget to find to make the rest of the season possible.”

With title leader Craig Breen not competing in New Zealand, Paddon can move to the top of the SWRC standings providing he scores a strong result on the gravel event.

“ENZED’s brand has long had positive associations with New Zealand motorsport and it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to form a relationship with the team at ENZED who are passionate about supporting Kiwis at home and offshore,” said Paddon. “I trust that we can deliver the result that we all want with ENZED on the side of the car.”

Paddon has also secured additional support from Rally Tours NZ and MAK-Corp for his Rally New Zealand bid.
