Nikara prepares for Czech debut

Jarkko Nikara has admitted that he will be up against it in his bid for IRC Production Cup glory on Barum Czech Rally Zlín from 31 August-2 September.

Nikara, from Finland, will drive a Tommi Mäkinen Racing Subaru Impreza R4 STI on the asphalt event, which he is contesting for the first time.

“I’ve never been there before so it should be very interesting,” said Nikara, the IRC Production Cup winner on Rally San Marino last month. “I like Tarmac but I’m not so quick yet, I don’t have the experience. The IRC Production Cup is the target but we won’t do a test, just the shakedown so it will be quite difficult.”
