Muller invites Loeb to test WTCC Cruze

Seven-time World Rally Champion Sébastian Loeb drove the Chevrolet Cruze WTCC at Rockingham last Friday. It was a private event that Loeb attended following an invitation from his friend and fellow World Champion Yvan Muller.

The idea stemmed last year when Yvan competed in the WRC Rally of Alsace and both friends shared and compared impressions about their respective race disciplines and cars.

A holding statement from Chevrolet explained: “Chevrolet and RML were glad to cooperate in materializing the invitation made by Yvan to Sébastian to try his Cruze. However what happened cannot, in any way, be interpreted as a short term expression of a professional interest by any of the parties involved.”

Yvan Muller attended the drive and set reference laps to give Loeb the best out of this day at the wheel of the Cruze WTCC.
