More registrations for PWRC
Production class attracts 12 entries so far
The Production Car World Rally Championship has attracted a bumper entry for 2012 with 12 crews signed up. And with a month to go until registrations close the number of registrations could yet increase.
Since the last entry list was published in January, five more competitors have signed up. They are Benito Guerra, Gianluca Linari and Ricardo Trivino, while the Mentos Ascania Racing team from Ukraine has submitted two entries for Valeriy Gorban and Oleksiy Kikireshko.
The quintet will compete against existing entrants Michal Kosciuszko, Nicolas Fuchs, Marcos Ligato, Lorenzo Bertelli, Nikita Philippov, Louise Cook and Ramona Karlsson.
Kosciuszko tops the PWRC classification following the season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo in January. The series resumes on Rally Guanajuato Mexico from 8-11 March when the Pole will face opposition from Fuchs, Guerra, Linari, Karlsson and wildcard entrant Rodrigo Salgado.
The FIA, motorsport’s world governing body, will consider entries up until 27 March, subject to agreement and availability.
