Mikkelsen takes to the streets

Andreas Mikkelsen took time out of his Intercontinental Rally Challenge schedule to sample ŠKODA’s new compact city car, the Citigo, ahead of its UK launch last month.

Mikkelsen, IRC champion in 2011, drives for ŠKODA UK Motorsport in the all-action series and was the star guest at an official media function in Birmingham after he got the chance to experience the car on the streets of Britain’s second city.

He said: “Even though it’s a small car I didn’t get a little car feeling when I was driving it. The steering was precise and I enjoyed driving it. I think it could make a great rally car too.”
