Magalhães pleased to be back in the IRC

Bruno Magalhães says he is “very pleased” to be back in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge after skipping the last round of the series in Czech Republic.

The 30-year-old from Portugal crashed in dramatic fashion on his last event in Madeira in early August and spent the opening two stages of Rallye Sanremo this afternoon finding his confidence again at the wheel of his Peugeot Sport Portugal 207 Super 2000.

“We only had one day of testing before here and it was not easy in the difficult conditions,” said Magalhães. “It was wet in places and dry in others so difficult to understand where the grip is. I’m trying to be fast but I also have to be careful. I’m just very pleased to be back.”

Magalhães is 11th overall after two stages.
