Caterham Racing has confirmed that due to ill health Ma Qing Hua will not be taking part in the Malaysian Grand Prix GP2 sprint race today.

After falling ill on Friday afternoon Ma took the decision to try and compete in the Saturday GP2 Feature race, which he completed despite his illness. Following the race he was diagnosed with gastroenteritis leading to extreme dehydration by the medical team on track at Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

Ma Qing Hua has been confirmed as unfit to drive today in the GP2 sprint race by medical staff at Sepang International Circuit and the FIA.

This is a great shame for Ma and everyone at Caterham Racing and GP2 wishes him a speedy recovery.
