The GP2 Asia Series will be rounding out its final round of the season at Al Sakhir. The 20-year-old Brazilian is schedule to rejoin the series after cruising to victory in last season’s race at the venue.

Razia will drive the car brought on-track so far by Daniel Zampieri, who was announced between the youngsters selected for the Ferrari Driver Academy. He’ll be joining the 2010 World Series Renault 3.5, and forced to miss the final round of the Asia Series due to the championship’s collective test.

Despite having signed for Zampieri for a full season, Rapax allowed him to depart earlier in order to take part in the test, sure of the Italian’s talent and aware of having contributed to his professional progress. The whole Rapax team congratulate Zampieri for reaching his goal to get such a great chance, and wish him good luck for his experience at Ferrari.

Daniel Zampieri

“These days have been extremely important in my career, and so many happenings forced me to make choices. I’m honoured to become part of the Ferrari Driver Academy project. In 2010, my plan includes the entry in the World Series Renault 3.5, and the championship’s collective testing session is on the same days of the GP2 event in Bahrain. I thank Rapax for having let me follow my new program, and I wish all the team good luck. I really enjoyed the time spent with them, making my international racing debut. I hope our roads will be crossing again in the future...”

Andrea Bergamini, Managing Director

“We’re really upbeat for the chance given to Zampieri, because it’s really something prestigious and top-notch. We’re pleased to have contributed to his growth and to have brought him to his first experience in an highly-valuable environment like GP2. We’re equally pleased to head to Bahrain with Luiz Razia, who’ll have no isseus in adapting to the car and the track”
