Kruuda reveals 2012 IRC plans

Karl Kruuda is planning to tackle a programme of Intercontinental Rally Challenge events in 2012 with the GEKO Ypres Rally and Cyprus Rally included on his draft schedule.

The 18-year-old Estonian sensation made seven appearances in this year’s IRC in the ME3 Rally Team SKODA Fabia Super 2000 he shared with co-driver Martin Jarveoja. He finished 10th in the final standings, claiming a season-best fourth on the final round in Cyprus earlier this month.

“I like the IRC, the events and the atmosphere and the competition is very strong”, said Kruuda. “I have been able to improve my driving by doing the IRC this year and the plan
is to do some more next year. I’m not sure what I will do but I would like very much Ypres and Cyprus.”
