Krozser launches late bid for IRC 2WD Cup glory
"Our next target is to join the IRC 2WD cup frontrunners"
Menyhért Krózser has launched a late bid for a top-three finish in the final IRC 2WD Cup standings by confirming his participation on the remaining three rounds of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, starting with this week’s Mabanol Sliven Rally.
Despite failing to score points on his first three appearances in the IRC this season and having a current total of 12, Krózser can still climb up the order in his Renault Clio R3.
“After three DNFs we were very keen to score our first points on Barum Czech Rally Zlín,” explained the Hungarian talent. “We did it, so our next target is to join the IRC 2WD cup frontrunners. Sliven Rally will be very exciting, because all top four drivers – [Harry] Hunt, [Robert] Consani, [Martin] Kangur and [Vlad] Cosma – will be there. With them and some local guys I expect a very tight battle for the top five places.
“We are a bit late to fight for the championship title, but maybe we have a chance to finish on the podium. For that we must score some good points in Bulgaria.”
