Ramona Karlsson will make her Production Car World Rally Championship debut on Rally Guanajuato Mexico next week as part of the PWRC’s first all-female line-up - and fans can follow her exploits through a series of online blogs.

Karlsson, who will be co-driven by fellow Swede Miriam Walfridsson, will pilot a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X on six rounds of the PWRC, starting with the all-gravel round in Leon from 8-11 March.

The 31-year-old Karlsson has struck up a partnership with DMACK Tyres and will utilise the Anglo-Chinese firm’s DMG+ gravel covers in Mexico. Her Ramona Rallying Blog will be accessible via the company’s website.

“I’m really looking forward to our cooperation with DMACK and to test, develop and compete on their tyres,” said Karlsson. “My team and I have got a very good opinion about the tyres and about the DMACK organisation, so it’s an honour to have DMACK as our tyre partner in our first world rally season.”

DMACK’s Dick Cormack added: “We are always looking at ways of generating brand exposure for DMACK and this partnership with Ramona Rallying will help us make the most of social media platforms. We know the all-girl rally team is sure to have a huge following so the blog will help people keep up with their rally season and give a really useful insight into the demands of competing at the top level.”

Karlsson, a contributor to one of Sweden’s leading national newspapers, will also contest the PWRC rounds in Argentina, New Zealand, Germany, Italy and Spain during 2012.
