Kangur expects tough Sanremo debut

Martin Kangur will make his Rallye Sanremo debut this week braced for a tough test behind the wheel of his Honda Civic Type R.

The Estonian is one of the leading contenders for IRC 2WD Cup glory in Italy. He said: “Sanremo is completely new for me, but I can appreciate that it will be a difficult assignment. During testing at the Mecsek Rallye, we tried out some set-ups for Sanremo. Maybe I should ask [fellow Honda driver] Sandro Sottile for some advice! He knows this rally like the back of his hand and he will be a good reference for me in the competition.”

Sanremo will mark Kangur’s sixth appearance in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge support category. He is currently 18th in the IRC 2WD Cup standings.
