Martin Kangur will contest a further six rounds of this season’s IRC 2WD Cup at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R.

The Estonian, who began his campaign on last week’s Tour de Corse-E.Leclerc will include Prime Yalta Rally, Geko Ypres Rally, Barum Czech Rally Zlin, Mecsek Rallye, Rallye Sanremo and RACMSA Rally of Scotland on his schedule.

Kangur could also contest the season-closing Cyprus Rally in November depending on whether or not he is still in contention of the IRC 2WD Cup title.

“Our goal is not only to learn the job but definitely to score points in the IRC 2WD Cup at the end of each rally,” said Kangur, who plans to use his 2011 programme to build his experience of competing on asphalt. “Racing on Tarmac is a rather new experience for me and that is also the reason why we decided on the IRC, a challenge which is mainly organised on Tarmac.”
