Ireland´s Breen lodges Monte-Carlo entry

Craig Breen, a highly-rated driver from Ireland, has entered the centenary edition of Rallye Monte-Carlo, which runs from 18-22 January, 2011.

The 20-year-old, who has driven an M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 on a number of international events this season, would be a Monte-Carlo novice if he elects to proceed with his registration for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge season opener.

“At the moment we’ve put an entry in but that’s all,” said Breen. “It’s an event I’ve always wanted to do but I don’t know if it will be something we do next season. We’ll have to see.”

Although Breen has never competed on the event before, he has experience of the route after performing ice note duties for Daniel Barry and Martin Brady when they took part on this year’s event in a Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX.
