IRC champions to be honoured in Paris

The various Intercontinental Rally Challenge award winners will be honoured in Paris tonight at the annual IRC Awards Ceremony.

IRC drivers’ champion Andreas Mikkelsen will be among several star performers from IRC season five in attendance in the French capital to collect their silverware in front of 200 guests.

Representatives from Honda and ŠKODA will collect the IRC 2WD Cup manufacturers’ and IRC overall manufacturers’ trophies respectively, while the IRC Production Cup champion Toshi Arai and IRC 2WD Cup title-winner Jean-Michel Raoux will be recognised following their individual success in 2011.

One other prestigious award that will be presented at the event will be the Colin McRae IRC Flat Out Trophy with the identity of the winner revealed on the night. Colin’s father Jimmy McRae will be in attendance to hand over the coveted award.
