János Puskádi and co-driver Barnabas Godor will step up to the headlining Super 2000 category in this season’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge, starting with Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés from 15-17 March.

Puskádi makes the move with his Eurosol Racing Team Hungary after claiming third overall in the IRC 2WD Cup in 2011 in a two-wheel-drive Honda Civic Type R. He will pilot a ŠKODA Fabia S2000 with Godor navigating.

“It’s a great adventure driving the ŠKODA Fabia S2000, and we look forward the start of the first stage full of expectations,” said Puskádi. “It is the first time to compete at this location, and we set realistic objectives for our first competition with the new car. Our main aim is to drive to the finish in order to obtain as much experience as possible for the coming season. During the season we plan to return to those lovely venues, which we already know and performed successfully, as well as collected valuable points, such as Corsica, Yalta and Cyprus.”

Puskádi and Godor prepared for Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés with an asphalt test last week.
