Harry Hunt, who can win the IRC 2WD Cup with a points’ finish on the FxPro Cyprus Rally, will drive with the title firmly in mind according to his co-driver Sebastian Marshall.

Briton Hunt is equal on 20 points with Kevin Abbring and Rafael Tulio but is the only one of the trio competing on the mixed-surface Intercontinental Rally Challenge finale.

“We’re here for the finish, it’s as simple as that,” said Marshall, 22. “We’re very mindful of just how tough this rally is from the recce and if you had to give it a mark out of 10 for difficulty it would get nine out of 10.

“There are areas where we know we can go a little bit harder but otherwise we’re just going to avoid making any mistakes. It’s not the most enjoyable way to go rallying but needs must.”

Hunt, who like co-driver Marshall is also 22, will drive an M-Sport Fiesta R2 for the I Cars Motorsport team from Wales.
