Exciting entry list for IRC Prime Yalta Rally

The popularity of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge has once again been demonstrated with organisers of round 10 of the all-action series, the Prime Yalta Rally, publishing a 73-car entry list.

Although not all competitors will be eligible for IRC points in Ukraine, the strong list of registrations follows on from the previous round – Barum Czech Rally Zlín – where 99 crews took the start.

Local hero Yuriy Protasov heads the entry in his M-Sport Ford Fiesta RRC with Turkish driver Yağiz Avci and Finn Mikko Pajunen seeded second and third respectively in their Super 2000-specification Fiestas. László Vizin, from Hungary (pictured), is the top ŠKODA Fabia S2000 driver on the list with Yukhym Vazheyevskyy, from Ukraine, the leading Peugeot 207 S2000 runner.

Rising Ukrainian star Vitaliy Pushkar heads the IRC Production Cup runners with Italian-born Romanian Marco Tempestini the highest-placed Subaru Impreza driver on the list of entries. Robert Consani, from France, is the leading Renault Mégane RS driver in action. The top Honda Civic driver is Ivan Ostapchenko.
