Curitiba prologue stage cancelled

The Super Prime Pinhais prologue stage, which had been due to run this afternoon Thursday, has been cancelled due to heavy rain and following earlier delays to the Rally Internacional de Curitiba timetable.

It now means the starting order for the opening leg of the second round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge will be determined by championship order.

Škoda Motorsport team-mates Juho Hänninen and Jan Kopecký will start in first and second positions with Guy Wilks third and Bruno Magalhães fourth.

Kris Meeke, the winner of this event in 2009, will start in fifth place with Brazilian Daniel Oliveira the sixth driver to tackle Friday’s seven stages.
