Curitiba - After SS4 - Meeke leads (...)

After SS1 :

Peugeot UK driver Kris Meeke leads Rally Internacional de Curitiba after the opening special stage. He set a time 11.4 seconds faster than fellow British driver Guy Wilks, in a Škoda UK Fabia.

Juho Hänninen, who was running first on the road in his Škoda, dropped time on the test, the 18.85-kilometre Campo Magro stage, with a puncture. Paulo Nobre stopped on stage, Walmir Teixeira and Marcos Valandro crashed their car.

After SS2 :

Northern Ireland’s Kris Meeke continues to lead Rally Internacional de Curitiba after winning the event’s second stage, the 9.58-kilometre Ouro Fino test in his Peugeot 207. Meeke’s lead over Škoda Fabia driver Guy Wilks is now 13 seconds.

Juho Hänninen has moved ahead of Brazilian hero Daniel Oliveira into fifth overall after going second fastest on the stage.

After SS3 :

Kris Meeke has added a third successive stage win to his tally with an impressive charge through the 10.91-kilometre Curitiba run. Meeke has extended his lead to 18.9s seconds over fellow Briton Guy Wilks, who is competing in Brazil for the first time in a Škoda Fabia.

Juho Hänninen, in another Fabia, continues his recovery from his earlier puncture and has narrowed the gap to fourth-placed Bruno Magalhães to 32.1s

After SS4 :

Kris Meeke rounded out a perfect morning with his fourth stage victory on Rally Internacional de Curitiba. The Peugeot 207 driver’s dominance of the event, which he won in 2009, means he has increased his lead over Škoda Fabia runner Guy Wilks to 23.1 seconds.

Behind the battle for first place, the main focus is on Juho Hänninen, who has continued to close on Bruno Magalhães for fourth. The gap between the pair is now 15.9s.

The crews are currently making their way back to the first service halt at Curitiba’s race circuit where they are due to arrive shortly before 12:40 local time.
