Bouffier reclaims second place
News after SS11
Bryan Bouffier has regained second place from Freddy Loix on Barum Czech Rally Zlín after going fastest through stage 11, the 11.39-kilometre Kudlovice test. The Peugeot 207 Super 2000 pilot was two tenths of a second quicker than overall leader Jan Kopecký, while Loix could only manage the fourth best time.
Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion Kris Meeke continues to drop back after opting to use soft-compound slick tyres only, which are proving far from ideal for the dry roads in southeast Czech Republic.
The battle for Czech championship honours and sixth overall is being closely fought by Pavel Valoušek and Václav Pech. After falling behind Valoušek on SS10, Pech moved back in front on SS11 with an all-out attack in his Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer, which netted the third fastest time through the run.
