Block eyes Finland return
American ace doesn’t want debut run on high-speed spectacular to be his last
Ken Block has given his legion of fans around the world the news they were hoping to hear by revealing that he’s up for more FIA World Rally Championship action in the future.
The Gymkhana movie star has only managed three appearances in the WRC this season due to other commitments and it’s not clear how many world championship rounds the charismatic American will be able to tackle in 2013.
However, following his retirement from a point-paying position on the final day of Neste Oil Rally Finland last week, which he was contesting for the first time, Block declared he wants to return to the event in the future.
“To have been in a points-scoring position here in Finland on my first time ever was an incredible feeling, I was definitely exceeding my personal expectations for my performance at the event,” said the Monster World Rally Team driver. “It’s a shame that I got knocked out by a mechanical failure especially before I got to take a run on Ouninpohja. Hopefully I’ll be able to come back in the future and race Rally Finland again.”
