Baumschlager: IRC right for Gassner Jr

Raimund Baumschlager, whose BRR operation will run emerging talent Hermann Gassner Jr on eight rounds of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in 2012, says the series will offer the young German driver the best opportunity to demonstrate his ability behind the wheel.

Gassner Jr will pilot a SKODA Fabia Super 2000 alongside experienced co-driver Klaus Wicha as he takes the next step of his career.

“The IRC will be a completely new experience for all of us and for sure a new challenge as well,” said Baumschlager. “It’s the right step for Hermann in his career since the competition will be very strong this year with top drivers like Juho Hanninen, Andreas Mikkelsen and Jan Kopecky.”
