Arzeno plans final-day push following

Mathieu Arzeno plans to spend the final day of Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse chasing rapid stage times in his Saintéloc Racing Peugeot 207 Super 2000 following his disastrous run through Friday’s final stage.

Arzeno, from France, started the stage in fifth overall but a differential problem caused significant delay. After Saturday’s second stage he is currently 13th overall.

“We thought we had a puncture because the rear of the car was sliding too much so I stopped to look but there was nothing although we later found out it was a problem with the car,” said Arzeno. “When we were checking we find a problem with the front-right tyre and we change this. Because we had lost so much time we waited for [Dani] Sordo to pass us because we did not want to cause him a problem and that delayed us even more.”

He continued: “For this morning we just want to do the best we can although on the second stage my pacenotes were not so perfect.”
