Nicolas Klinger, who co-drove Nicolas Vouilloz to Intercontinental Rally Challenge title glory in 2008 before joining forces with Thierry Neuville for the Belgian’s debut season in the IRC in 2010, has had plenty of reason to celebrate this season after winning two prestigious championships.

Klinger, from France, navigated Zimbabwean Conrad Rautenbach to the African and South African titles in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000. Their success in South Africa came on the back of victories on three out of seven rounds.

Rautenbach said: “We have worked incredibly hard all year and the double championships are just reward for all the effort our close-knit team has put in.”
