Adapta keen on more Brynildsen outings

Adapta World Rally Team principal Morten Ostberg says he wants to see Eyvind Brynildsen out in one of his Ford Fiesta RS WRCs again in the near future following his solid Rally Sweden result.

The 24-year-old made his World Rally Car debut with Adapta in Sweden earlier this month, finishing 10th and impressing many with the speed with which he made the step from a Super 2000 car to a World Rally Car on this opening round of the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship powered by Nokia.

Ostberg was delighted, saying: “He drove a very good rally. It’s a good challenge for the Adapta team to have two cars out on these events. We are talking to Eyvind about the remainder of this season. He wants to do an asphalt round of the championship and Rally Finland, so we’re looking at those.”

Brynildsen added: “It was fantastic experience in the World Rally Car, these things are unbelievable fast. It was amazing driving the car and I definitely want to be out in the Fiesta again this year, it’s about getting the backing in place now.”

Brynildsen partnered Ostberg’s son Mads in the team. Ostberg Jr, who finished third on Rally Sweden, will contest all the remaining rallies except for Rally New Zealand this season.
